What I Want:
Tin Can Lid Necklace I am an ebayoholic, particularly drawn to weird old photos. This was from a collection of men and their dogs. They sat in my file for the longest time.
The phrase "Man's Best Friend" filtered into my subconcious and I made a bunch of pendants based on those photos and that phrase.
This is the last one in the series. It never sold. I figure it's cuz I drilled a hole through poor ol'Tim's head. He's okay with it though. He has his best bud, Buddy by his side.

I want your pendant, very
I want your pendant, very much. My dog's name is Buddy!
Can you make another tin can
Can you make another tin can lid necklace Juli? I traded the one you gave me -- maybe you guys can trade with each other since you like each other's stuffs!
I'm open to whatever you want
I'm open to whatever you want to trade Juli ... hope I'm doing this right but Rosalie said she'd already traded the (your) original necklace.

Hi Jen,
I am going to play with some patinas this weekend and could make you another tin can lid necklace. I like the Man & Buddy pendant alot.
Sounds like we have a trade
Sounds like we have a trade Juli! As a virgin bARTersaucian what's the next step?
I'm not sure as we will be
I'm not sure as we will be trading outside the Sauce. If you click on my name you will go to my sauce profile and the contact on that page goes directly to my email, so maybe we email back and forth? It will take me a few days to make the necklace...
Okay, so, I have been trying
Okay, so, I have been trying to antique can lids for a while now, and aparently they ain't like they used to be. I have tried all kind of stuff and I can't get them to age. I don't think I will be able to make another can lid pendant unless I magically come across another already patinaed can lid. I am sorry. :-(
Hey Juli, no worries! Fwiw,
Hey Juli, no worries! Fwiw, you might have to use paint remover first as they coat both sides w/some sort of plastic-y material to keep the lids from rusting. A good sanding might help too. Regardless, I want to send you this anyway. The poor thing is just sitting on the shelf looking all dejected and Buddy'd be very happy to come live with you. :) Email me at: jen AT jenworden.com w/your mailing address. And thanks so much for your tenacity. You're too sweet!
ciao for now ... Jen
I will send you something
I will send you something supercool in exchange. I will surprise you. And, I will keep trying to age some can lids!
I probably could make another
I probably could make another tin can lid necklace, as I know now how to create that patina effect.
