Julia came over to our house to make Shower Art one day.
She's an artist. A real, patient, honest to god artist. She gave us a line drawing that she did of various patterns that all come together in the middle to make a huge piece and it's absolutely amazing. It looks like she sat at a computer for days and put it together. But in reality, she probably sat for months and months and drew it by hand. It's hanging in our living room right now. My husband Doug rescued it because she said her portfolio was getting too full and she was going to THROW IT AWAY. Are you kidding me?
I love Julia's collages. She has a bunch that have time as a theme. It's eerie. All advertisements have the time on the clock at the same time (with the hands on 10 and 2, I think). Why? Why would that be? Anyway, she makes collages that have tons of clocks in them -- all set to the same time. Yikes. Creepy!
